Jaan Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 We've had a quote through to renew our tills. We currently have; 6 Tills 1 Tablet "Till" 2 Cash machines (which take money) 1 "Server" in the kitchen office which the tills talk to. It runs Impact 1 A cashless virtual machine in our Cluster that runs the IDstore We wanted to simply all of this (we are having issues, long story) where we imagined we'd have a PC or "server" in the Kitchen office with both IMPACT and the IDstore to which all the tills and cash machines talk back to. Our business manager has sent me some documentation this morning which contains a till refresh along with Cashless "Fusion". Their website seem to suggests a all in one "cloud" solution...... but goes on to recommend minimum requirements for hardware. Anybody using this that could explain how it works? cheers
bobsmith Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 idstore is running on our sims third party app server (something i've done simply to create a firebreak between the sims server and the stuff that talks to it) there's a sync to parentpay that happens via the cloud but that's about it - everything else is running locally. No server in the kitchen at all.
