Chromebooks and Snoothwall filtering

This has taken me by surprise that our new year 7s are using chromebooks at home and i have configured student schools accounts to be filtered through the smoothwall extension (not the connect for chromebooks) so we have had a few phone calls saying that when browsing with Chrome, the extension is blocking even the very basic sites. These were working fine until a couple of days go.

 

Any one got any ideas? It would seem something has lost it's marbles.
