Shared Nintendo Switch account query

I have a Switch my kids use but my daughter wanted a Switch Lite so, given it's her 16th birthday decided I can push the boat out on this.

She mainly wanted her own Switch so she can play Animal Crossing, which only allowed for my son to play due to the one saved game per device rule on it.

I know that you can use and access the same Switch account on her device and install any software we have bought, but just need to check the little details such as can they both play the same game at the same time without one getting pushed out?

If any of you who may have done this can let me know (plus any other gotchas) it would be much apprecited.

You cannot be online with the same account on the same game with 2 consoles.

You can however be online with two different accounts on two consoles using a digital game that you only bought one time. Thanks to that they can play 2 seperate games and everything should be fine. You have to set up which Switch is primary and which is secondary :)

Just found out she can have her own account then add it to the family group in my account settings. She can then play all the games we have paid for so far.

Thanks @Margret1999 for pointign me in the right direction.

if you are trying to play a game bought on 1 account on 2 devices at the same time its fiddly. as i understand it the primary device (so 1st switch unless you changed it) can play it on or offline the 2nd device can only play online. so to play animal crossing on a switch (primary) and switch lite (non primary) at the same time you would need to play on the switch with wifi off and the lite with wifi on
