[sims] Apply Timetable Error

Hello all.

 

Going round in circles with the helpdesk on this one.

 

We are trying to 'Apply Timetable' and it's coming up with an error that we just can't work out a way round.

 

Firstly I go to 'Tools->Academic Management->Apply Timetable'

 

 

When I then click through, I get the message 'An error ocurred whilst attempting to Launch the Apply timetable routine'

 

 

Has anyone got any ideas? We are stumped and at the moment, so are the helpdesk.

Its a separate exe in the local SIMS .net folder (applytimetable.exe). Does the user have rights to the folder?

I have worked out what the answer was today so if any of you out there get this problem, this was the answer:

 

In the C:\Windows directory there is a SIMS.ini file.

 

There is a line that says : SIMSDotNetDirectory=

 

Mine was empty so what I did was add the following to it : C:\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net (the local install folder for us)

 

After a restart, all was well.
