HDMI not Working

Hello

 

We have three Windows 10 laptops, 2 Dell and 1 Lenovo. None of them can connect to HDMI. The HDMI port is listed in sounds, with a not plugged in comment even when it is but works neither for sound of video. Any ideas?

Try them into a short different HDMI cable into a different monitor or projector. Then try to work out if it's the laptop cable or monitor.

 

If it's the laptop it's likely to be the driver or the resolution of the laptop is too high for the monitor or projector.

 

If it's the cable it could be too long or the face plates are not suitable.

 

If it's the monitor try a different port or different monitor.
