Can someone with a Schools Broadband 1Gb connection do some tests for me...

I’ve got a couple of School Broadband customers who should be on a 1Gb/1Gb leased line.

 

However speeds tests vary from 400-800 on the download and upload. Sometimes the upload will hit the 900 mark.

 

The results are very similar when plugged directly into the router bypassing any local traffic.

 

Can someone with the same connection run a test and see what results they get?

Try http://www.speedtest.net and use our server (Talk Straight).

 

We can also do iperf tests for you if you think your line is running slow. Remember when you do tests there is often background traffic of other things using your connection.

 

That said, quite often some speed test sites simply won't work when testing a full gigabit speed slthough our speediest server can
