CHiLL Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 It's been a good few years since I've had that error and I can't remember what exactly happened or the resolution, but you could try: Search for devices named "Unknown" in SCCM. The only two you should have are "x64 Unknown Computer" and "x86 Unknown Computer". Delete all others that are listed, then wait a few minutes and try again.
ajames Posted July 23, 2020 Author Posted July 23, 2020 Done, that, only boot images show, search for mac address says no as well.
CHiLL Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 (edited) I did at one point create collections to try and find duplicate MAC addresses or find a specific UUID (I think the UUID is listed in the PXE boot screen on the client when attempting to get a DHCP address). Here's the queries I used, however it's been years since I used them and can't remember whether they work or not! Find Duplicate MAC Address select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.MACAddresses = "EC:B1:D7:54:1C:91" Find Machine by UUID select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.SMBIOSGUID = "F04BE58B-B8CE-0664-BCC6-76D62D6A8488" Just remember to change the MAC and UUID listed in the above examples. ajames Posted July 23, 2020 Author Posted July 23, 2020 Well both Queries work, but they don't find anything, as i would expect because the computers have never been on the system.
