For those of you who haven't read the orgional book, it's rather different to the film. I wonder which 'universe' this will take on?

I thought the book and the film were both really, really bad.

I liked the concept but the book was so badly written and quite horrible in its writing (the endless nerdy and over-detailed lists and fact dumps) and treatment of women. To me, in particular when it came to some of the writing it felt like Video Game American Psycho, but without the self awareness and irony.

The film therefore, really didn't stand a chance.
