Veritas upgrade

Hello.

We use Veritas backup exec. If I upgrade to the latest version via the Veritas download section does it write over our current installation leaving the settings (jobs etc) or will I have to start over. I didn't install it originally so don't want to make myself more work (or grief) than necessary.

Their should be an upgrade download on the support download area, they should tell you what version you can upgrade from for the version you picked. We have upgraded and the settings have stayed the same for us. But as always have a backup.

I logged a call with Veritas support and they were really helpful. All sorted now.
