mdrabble Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 Purchased a Insta360 NanoS to take some 360 Photos around school so I can create a virtual tour of the school. It arrived yesterday and it looks like the Nano may be faulty as all I am getting is multi coloured static when I view the image on my iphone. I am waiting for their support to get back to me..... In the mean time - longshot - any one in the Manchester/Trafford area able and willing to loan me their 360 Degree camera for approx half a day - you can stay with the camera if that helps - will even throw in a dominos pizza for lunch! Ideally looking at Monday/Tuesday Cheers
Wubbalubbadub Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 Happy to loan you ours.. but we are in Loughborough.. I could next day ship it tomorrow? If you cover the postage.. 1

Thank for the offer but I wouldn’t feel happy if something happened in transit especially the way some delivery companies have been leaving deliveries but doors and walking off without checking someone answered the door first. I have a plan b which won’t look as good but will do the job.
mdrabble Posted June 29, 2020 Author Posted June 29, 2020 @MJTayloronline can I what camera you a have and if you could post an example image from it please.
mdrabble Posted June 29, 2020 Author Posted June 29, 2020 Found that I can use the Google Steetview app to make 360 degree photos using my iPhone but quality isn’t brilliant.

You get better quality if you can rotate the camera preceisly around the camera, rather than yourself. From experience, Lego (with the possible addition of duct tape and/or Blu Tak) is quite handy for knocking together something that will let you stand a phone on a tripod and rotate it around the camera.

Wubbalubbadub Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 https://theta360.com/uk/ Limehurst Academy Virtual TourThis was with the Theta SC. Which is only 1080p. We have just bought the SC2 which is 4k. Matt 1
mdrabble Posted July 1, 2020 Author Posted July 1, 2020 Was the just a single shot on a tripod? Really impressed with the quality. Planning on using Mazipano as well as easy enough to use and best of all - it free!

Wubbalubbadub Posted July 2, 2020 Posted July 2, 2020 Here is another example we did with the SC: Loughborough Church of England Primary School Virtual Tour I'm hoping the new 4K version we have ordered will bring that little bit of extra crispness. But for a 1080p camera and for the cost - these camera's are pretty amazing!
mdrabble Posted July 2, 2020 Author Posted July 2, 2020 Images look really good! Especially when compared to my iPhone generated images. Just putting the finishing touches to our and it will be live for all to see. I’ve emailed SLT about the camera and I’m waiting to hear back but I might make an executive decision if they don’t reply soon! Learnt quite a lot of new web coding tricks for creating the tour with mazipano.
