MS Teams - External domains

What do people do regarding the ability to contact external domains? We've currently got it blocked, but teachers are starting to want to have meetings with outside organisations on Teams. I don't really want to allow it as then the students can access external domains too. Do you allow all domains? Use black/whitelists? Block and tell staff "unlucky"?

We currently allow all but guests all have to go through the lobby to get into meetings.

So does that mean Students can start chats on Teams with people who aren't in your domain?

We allow it but students don't have chat and create create meetings. Meaning they can't contact someone external without a staff member creating the meeting.

Sort of, staff can still setup meetings with students for 1 to 1 chats. So we're using this for SEN students. We normally invite more than one staff member to the meeting. One staff member tends to join but it means others (Like our safeguarding lead) can watch the recording back which was made of the meeting if required.
