Windows 10 1909 log in times to server 2019 seems slow

I have just had the above put in and new server with ssd for hot data.

 

The log in times Seem slow. All ssd hardware, yes over wireless but all ac.

 

1 on its own takes 1 min to log on. Try 15 and hopeless.

 

How long do your log ins take?

 

Default profile is 100mb On machines but when pupil logs in creates a 300mb profile. All of files etc redirected.

 

I am stuck as to why it is so slow. I have been told the 300mb profile size is not the issue 🤷🏻♂️

 

Really appreciate any ideas or feedback.

Are the 2nd, 3rd... login times (for the same user) just as slow?

What are the file transfer speeds like between client and Server? Try various file sizes, but particularly many small files, or use a good IO benchmarking app

What is the network activity during the login process? - On the server NIC and the client NIC (you'll need to check stats on the WiFi Controller)

 

Ideas...

Scrub the existing user profile on the device, try the login again (over the air) Same slowness?

Try a Windows 7 client.

Try a Windows 10 LTSC client.
