Im currently testing the trial of Intune and and im having issues when trying to deploy applications. I have clients that are already joined to AD and azure AD joined (Azure AD connect joins the client to azure AD) and i have enrolled a couple of clients but is there anything else i need to to? My clients are Win10 1803 but i was wondering if also need to install the Intune connector on the domain controller?

I have not idea what other steps i need to take so that the test clients can get software and settings etc from Intune. The office 365 MDM authority states "Microsoft Intune"

Thanks

So you have imported an msi you are trying to deploy?

What is the assignment set to?

Yes. I’ve set it to deploy to all devices and also tried another msi to deploy to all user but it’s not even listed on the software portal for the user.

As I mentioned before I don’t know if there is anything else I need to setup such as the Intune connector software on the DC or something else needs setting up in Intune. The test client appears enrolled inIntune okay

The Intune connector is only to allow for devices to be joined to your domain remotely via AutoPilot. It will not affect software.

Does the software show install failures on the devices/users or does it not show as attempting to install at all?

You could create a group, add your test device as the member and then assign to that group, rather than using All Devices

It doesn’t show any failures or and status but will try creating a group and assign that to the deployment. There wouldn’t be any conflict as machine is on a domain would there? The Microsoft support guy seemed to think this was the reason

I got this working in the end and it seems it just needed time after changing the MDM authority. After the machine joins to the domain and then azure AD, how can I get the clients to auto enrolment in Intune? I read somewhere that this can be done via group policy so is that correct?
