Gongalong Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Hi Folks, I'm using RealVNC Viewer 6.2 to connect from Windows to a Mac which works well, except that the cursor is a tiny dot. I've googled the issue, but can't spot anything to resolve it - there's talk of configuring the cursor, but Viewer doesn't have this option. Any ideas? Should I use a different VNC app? Thanks
Steve21 Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Which side are you saying it showing the dot on? As in is it on the Windows connecting to the mac? or on the actual mac once you connect with windows? The most common reason for not having one is simply the machine you're connecting to doesn't have a mouse plugged in Otherwise, there are a few settings it could be in preferences but will wait to see what you say to the above Steve 1
Gongalong Posted May 21, 2020 Author Posted May 21, 2020 This is with the viewer installed on Windows, viewing the Mac from Windows. It definitely has a mouse plugged in. This version of RealVNC, which seems to be the latest, doesn't seem to have that many settings. I've seen reference to a setting about showing mouse/keyboard, but it doesn't have that. I've just tried with UltraVNC, and although a bit clunkier than RealVNC it does have an option to track the cursor to the mouse position, and is working.
