Shared Drives to Sharepoint

Hi All,

 

We've purchased Cloud Drive Mapper initially for Onedrive mapping and replacing students on site H Drives, then in the future moving our shared drives to a Sharepoint site.

 

My question is on deleted files. Those that have gone down this path, how do you deal with requests to recover deleted files and has the SharePoint recycle bin been enough for you? In our case requests for file recovery isn't that frequent, but do still want to have myself covered.

You can use retention policies to keep data longer and then recover by Content Search for example:

Perfect Just what I'm after. I'll set the retention period to the same as on site backups would be kept for.
