GH_75 Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Hi, I need to urgent assistance. I have a school setup with roaming profiles for teachers, the local profile is deleted on logoff from the local PC. On each login with Modern Auth enabled the Teachers are forced to login to Outlook. I guess the modern auth sits somewhere in the local appdata of the users profile, does anyone have any ideas, or solution to redirect this so teachers don't have to login to outlook every login. If I switch Modern Auth off, I do not get the issue, however with MS removing basic auth in the future, this is not a solution. Thanks
highsky Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Isn't the issue related to the Windows credentials manager? Are you using O2016?
GH_75 Posted May 11, 2020 Author Posted May 11, 2020 Thanks for the response highsky, yes it sounds possibly related to credential manager, Yes we are using Office 2016.
highsky Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Delete profiles older than x instead at loggof? Or diversify between staff and students policies The other option, not exactly, a desktop shortcut via gpo pointing to outlook 365 if you're in hybrid or online exchange?
