We are looking to enable SSSO- however we currently already sync our passwords to O365. Will this stop those passwords syncing or can these two methods be used in conjunction?

SSO is not the same as password sync (or more accurately password hash sync). SSO in summary is a method of signing in once and then not having to reauth.

Both will work together. Where you have SSSO enabled (e.g. on-site) it'll auto login by passing hashes

 

Offsite it'll work by allowing them to login via sync'd password as normal
