Meru MC4200 (firmware upgrades)

Morning all,

 

I'm hoping you're all staying safe in these strange times. I'm loving the peace at work haha.

 

Right, The school I now work at has a Meru wifi setup with an MC4200 controller running firmware 6.1-2-29.

Basically it had never been configured correctly so I want to start from scratch (no previous meru experience but it looks ok).

 

Before I start, I ideally want to upgrade the controller to the latest available firmware. I've signed up to support.fortinet.com, I'm assuming that's where I can obtain the latest firmware from for it? I need to get our product registered as it won't let me into the firmware area at the moment.

 

Am I going about it the correct way and is there anything I should be aware of about this system?

If it's covered by Fortinet support contract it wont let you down load them
