for safe guarding and classroom monitoring in BYOD scenario. users either uninstall impero or refuse installing int he first place

 

what is the laternative, what others use? I have seen Securus, Veyon and others

We use impero, but not on BYOD. You would have policy in place for that, something along the lines of "If you wish to use your device on the network you accept that we need to install XYZ software - without it, it doesn't connect". The software type doesn't come into it; it's their computer, they can uninstall whatever they wish. Impero actually requests the admin password before it lets you uninstall the usual way but doesnt stop anyone getting around that with 3rd party uninstallers or manual removal.

If the user has root on the device they can do whatever they want, therefore you need the filtering on a different device, eg the router.

 

BYOD isn't suitable for pupils really, all you can do is if they use your internet connection, filter it
