Does anyone else have concerns about the free version of Zoom?

We are also using Google Meet for any conversations with students. We can control who can start / end meetings, and prevent students from meeting with people outside of our domain.

 

How do you stop students from joining Google Meets outside your domain please?

Actually I haven't done that. I thought it was in the google admin panel, but when I've double checked it's not there.

What I have done is stop students from starting meetings, so only teachers can start the meetings and the pupils access them through Google Classroom.

Can you prevent anyone with the google meet link joining under any name?

I don't think so, but the teacher can control who enters, and can remove people from the meeting, and the link is only shared via google classroom.

Easy for pupils to give the link to spammers though if they don't want to do their lesson.
