lears Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Hi, I have a Meru AP822i AP that has been offline for a while due to building refurb. I've just plugged it back in and the lights are stuck on alternating green/white - "AP is discovering the controller". Anyone have any ideas how to get past this? The controller & APs are on a totally flat network - no VLANS.
meakjoe Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Have you tried plugging it in another port in a different building, to rule out any other network issues? 1
Bruce123 Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Hi, I have a Meru AP822i AP that has been offline for a while due to building refurb. I've just plugged it back in and the lights are stuck on alternating green/white - "AP is discovering the controller". Anyone have any ideas how to get past this? The controller & APs are on a totally flat network - no VLANS. This suggests no layer 2 connectivity between AP and controller (as Meru can tunnel from AP to controller at layer 2) If you have only one VLAN for PCs, APs etc., you must have DHCP on this VLAN, why not try connecting a laptop to see if you get an IP and can ping the controller? Kind Regards, Bruce. 1
lears Posted March 18, 2020 Author Posted March 18, 2020 This is strange, it was plugged directly into a switch when it wasn't working. I plugged it into a port in the room (which goes back to the same cabinet) and it started working. Baffled. Thanks for your help!
