Information Services Officer (iSAMS / SQL) - HERTFORDSHIRE

£26,600 - £32,000 depending on experience ( plus generous pension, lunches, 40 days annual leave (incl. bank hols), free parking / fitness suite / pool / squash etc. )

THIS IS AN URGENT REQUIREMENT

 

Our client, a prestigious Independent school in Hertfordshire have an urgent requirement for an Information Services Officer who will be responsible for administering the school’s Management Information Systems including iSAMS and various other software applications.

 

Previous experience working with a school MIS is essential with any working knowledge of iSAMS being highly desirable although training will be given.

 

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with excellent administration and communication skills to join a supportive, well-focused team.

The post-holder will work closely with one other Information Service Officer to support two leading Independent schools.

 

As the Information Services Officer, your main duties will include:

· Ensuring the Management Information Systems are fully functional at all times and reporting any issues to the Head of Information Services & Development.

· First-line support for applications and systems, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.

· Preparing the MIS and other applications for the start of each academic year including the importing of new users, timetables, class lists and groups etc.

· Being the first point of contact for MIS queries by staff and parents.

· Creating and producing accurate management reports and statistics from the systems as required.

· Maintenance of the MIS and other applications systems to ensure that all data is accurate, up to date and available users as necessary.

· Supporting parents and other users in their use of the parent portal and associated systems.

· Monitoring and responding to incoming support requests.

· Support the schools’ academic reporting schedule, preparing templates and report cycles as needed.

· Provide support during the exam results publication periods

· Managing / running basic queries and reports as required, and working closely with the wider team to support the creation of more complex reports.

· Overseeing the Attendance data and working with the Attendance officer to produce reports.
