BPSayers Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 (edited) IT Technician / Field Engineer Pattern of work: Full Time Salary: S5 £21,169 GEP Academies are seeking to appoint an IT Technician/Field Engineer responsible to assist in the support, management and maintenance of the Fullbrook IT network. Although you will predominantly be working at Fullbrook School, you will need to be flexible in order to support IT requirements across our 7 schools. Our school environment is caring and friendly, with a strong sense of community, and we are looking to add another IT Technician/Field Engineer able to support our staff and students across the school. Pupil numbers in school are approximately 1400, with an enthusiastic and dedicated team of staff supporting the school. We have network staff across our Multi Academy Trust (Guildford Education Partnership) with group communications and bi-annual meetings. This creates a community where we help each other resolve issues and work towards joint goals. In addition to working in a small team at Fullbrook, the successful candidate will be directly supported by the service desk and development teams. The role will have specific responsibilities: • IT repair and maintenance • Helpdesk & support requests • Software installations and maintenance • Assisting and supporting the central team with projects during school holidays to improve the school network • Support examination department in preparing for exams • Manage the school printer suite • Manage school classroom equipment such as computers, audio/visual and classroom safety • Manage school phone system, working with 3rd party support • Manage door and gate system, working with 3rd party support Experience with SIMS and VMware would be an advantage but training will be provided. The person appointed may not necessarily be familiar with all the areas listed above, but a willingness to learn and be proactive is essential.
