Second line IT Engineer

 

Location: A number of positions are available across Greater London area (Wembley, Hounslow, Hayes)

 

Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 dependent on experience and location

 

Colwyn Technology whose mission is to provide effective response to customer requests for support, ensuring that their needs and priorities are met. The company Engineers are responsible for the front-line interface to all their customers, providing the best possible support and fault diagnosis. They will typically maintain, administer and update a busy helpdesk system, provide hands on technical support and act as a point of contact for the customer and the wider team and group.

 

An IT Engineer can support several customers over a geographical dispersed area, prioritising customer requests and managing their incidents to resolution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Support of a technical & ongoing administration of a mixed platform, in line with the customer contract

Accurately log and document all calls received ensuring the correct priority and update/resolution route is assigned.

Accurately manage site assets, software licenses and managed service hardware inline with current policies

Complete daily/weekly checks and provide reports in a timely manner

Maintain an up to date documentation portal

Work effectively as a member of the team and on own intuitive

Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills

Assist with mentoring of new and/or less experienced colleagues as required

Support projects within agreed timescales and scope.

Ensures supported sites are GDPR compliant and actively engages with data officers

Support colleagues and provide cover for annual leave at geographically dispersed locations

Occasional out of hours work required as business needs change
