Jaan Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 We are replicating to another server and backing up the vms from that replica. Of course were fortunate enough to have a "spare" server outside of the S2D cluster. The issue with this is, if i need to restore a file, it expects the VM to be online to restore. I have to do a "copy to" restore and then manually browse to the VM file server that's online to restore the files. Would be great if i could just back up the vms direct from the cluster instead of having to use the method above, or protect each of the nodes separately. Just wondering what you guys do with veeam and S2D. I don't think Veeam officially supports S2D.
