Adobe CS4 Removal

Ok so we have had Adobe CS4 packaged (by a previous MS) and deployed at my school for as long as i can remember. It played nicely with both Vista and 7 but now not so nicely with 10 and tbh when i did my migration from 7 to 10 i really begrudged re-deploying CS4 but at the time had no other option. The time has now come and we are purchasing 60 machine based licenses for the latest and greatest version and as part of the project before i deploy this new version am wanting to send an uninstaller out to remove the old version but cannot for the life in me get it to work. Theres seems to be 3 main ways suggested when reading the internet.

 

• Running the AdobeUberUninstaller.exe created with the Adobe CS4 Deployment Toolkit
  
• Running setup.exe --mode=silent -–deploymentFile="remove.xml"
  
• Running the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (Removes bits but a lot left over and doesnt seem to be able to run silently)
  

 

 

Has anybody else had issues with the removal of CS4 and if so do you have any recommended ways or advice?

No but I’m having issues with installing cs4 using the examples you have given.

 

Maybe you can help I have just posted. And will copy a link here shortly.

 

Could you pm me you old installer script. Ours also used to work but since stopped working sometime and found that installing it manually has stopped working also.
