colly72 Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Could anyone shed any light on what exceptions are required on Windows Firewall, to allow SIMS Document Server to work? When I set it to the default settings, to block incoming connections other than those in the approved list, any SIMS client can't then connect to the Document Server, even though port 8080 is allowed, as is the SIMS Document Server Service.
DJ-1701 Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Well C:\Program Files (x86)\SIMS\SIMS .net Document Server\SIMSDocumentServer_%ComputerName%.config should list the port, which by default is as you say 8080... I sometimes find I need the other standard ports open as well, but I assume you have done this? 52965:TCP (SIMS Solus-3-DS) 52966:TCP (SIMS Solus-3-Agent) 8739:TCP (SIMS Solus-3-Agent-UI) In the past I have also had to list the ports separately for some reason. 1

Thanks for this. I've seen this elsewhere but assumed it only applied for SOLUS 3 but I'll add the rules in and see how it affects SIMS Document Server.
