timbo343 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Some users here still have a habbit of using Internet Explorer when using their emails and they keep saying emails aren't displaying such as HTML composed emails - it turns out the body of the email is actually sat in the middle of the message. Our users are familiar with Office365 so anything different will throw them. The bottom line is obviously use a different browser like Chrome or the new Edge which is due out soon but is there a way to solve this formatting issue in IE and Gmail?

We use one called Centurytech that has a massive message on the login screen about "incompatible browser" if it detects IE being used. If they can SEE and READ that message I wonder why they're in a school. Either that of force it to open in Chrome via a GPO. I will say that our users still use IE for a lot of stuff including Office 365. When stuff doesn't work in IE I tell them to use Chrome. Once our site is entirely Windows 10 we might set up a GPO to set Edge or Chrome as the default browser and have done with it. Edited January 2, 2020 by DrBeaker

We have IE, Chrome and Firefox installed as standard (like most of us I guess) for exactly the reason you say above. With Windows 10 having Edge built-in also helps. 1
