The GORSE Academies Trust seek to employ a skilled and committed IT Technician to support The Stephen Longfellow Academy. Under the leadership of the Hub IT Manager, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of The Stephen Longfellow Academy’s IT service and provide excellent support to the staff and students.

The Stephen Longfellow Academy provides exceptional education and therapy to students from across the Leeds region with the student’s best interests at the heart of everything the academy does. The Stephen Longfellow Academy moved to its permanent location in September 2018 following a multi-million-pound refurbishment, the site aims to provides the staff and the students with the very best facilities and opportunities to support the student’s development.

Students are taught the national curriculum and the IT provision in the academy is a key aspect to supporting this education. The Academy boasts fantastic ICT throughout including an ICT Suite and Mac Suite, Chromebooks and interactive teacher walls in every classroom.

To be successful you must be passionate about IT, education and delivering an outstanding service, and be committed to our vision, values and culture. You must be a strong team player who shares our values and appreciates the benefits of working in partnership and collaboration with others. You will ideally have at least 2 years’ experience, but applications from willing candidates with less experience are welcome.

The trust is a vibrant and forward-thinking teaching community which places all students, and in particular those who come from the most challenging backgrounds, at the centre of its work. You will be exposed to colleagues from all our partner schools and in addition to being a key member of the academy team you will work with the central team, its directors, and the executive office.
