Database Administrator & Junior Developer - KCS Wimbledon - Circa £35K

King's College School Wimbledon is seeking to recruit a Database Administrator & Junior Developer from January 2020. You will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and keen to work in a high profile department with excellent people, communication and listening skills. A 'can do' flexible attitude towards working, workload prioritisation and an ability to work to tight dedalines are essential.

 

Essential skills:

 

• experience in working in a similar technical role
  
• experience of using/supporting MIS systems
  
• MSSQL and MySQL
  
• HTML, HTML5 and CSS3
  
• Experience of Windows 10
  

 

Desirable skills:

 

• SVN or GIT version control
  
• .NET
  
• Powershell
  
• SharePoint development
  
• PHP – OO code, not framework
  
• VBS/VB6
  
• Experience of data integration between separate products
  
• Experience of SchoolBase, Razor’s Edge, Chris21 or similar
  
• Webservers (IIS, Apache)
  

 

This is a permanent full-time role. Working hours Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (during probationary period)

 

Salary Circa £35k (depending on skills & experience) based on a 40 hour working week. 25 days holiday per annum. School lunches provided during term time, contributory support staff pension scheme, health benefits, discounted membership of the King's Sports Club
