I have mine configured via GPO and the settings are located in: User Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Folder Redirection.

Contacts: Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location - \\\\2019\%USERNAME%\Contacts
Documents: Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location - \\\\2019\%USERNAME%\Documents
Downloads: Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location - \\\\2019\%USERNAME%\Downloads
Favorites: Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location - \\\\2019\%USERNAME%\Favorites
Links: Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location - \\\\2019\%USERNAME%\Links
Music: Follow the Documents folder
Pictures: Follow the Documents folder
Searches: Links: Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location - \\\\2019\%USERNAME%\Searches
Videos: Follow the Documents folder

For all those with basic redirection, I have the following set in the Options:

Grant user exclusive rights to Searches: Disabled
Move the contents of Searches to the new location: Disabled
Also apply redirection policy to Windows 2000, Windows 2000 server, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 operating systems: Disabled
Policy Removal Behavior: Leave contents
Configuration Control: Group Policy
Primary Computer Evaluation: Not evaluated because primary computer policy is not enabled

The important one there is not granting user exclusive rights as that can cause issues with permissions.

I have one of those policies for each of our intake year OUs as the paths are different and another for our staff OU.

Also importantly, the user must have full control in the security permissions of their home folder.

Hi,

I think I have found the issue. I have changed one students home drive folder permissions as the owner, and this has worked as expected however how do I change all the home areas to make the students owners and access for administrators and teachers security group in bulk?

Thanks for your help.
