The students latest trick is to change the Language on the Ipads - Changing it back isn't an issue but time consuming and a disruption to the next person using it. We use Lightspeed MDM and AFAIK you cant disable\manage this?

I`m wondering if there is any kind of software to monitor who`s using the iPad, such as a unique username they have to input so we can track who last used the device.

Asking the staff to log the iPad in and out has proved not very successful!

Thanks

If you're wanting students to login to their iPads sounds like Shared iPad is the way to go.

If the iPads are popular bookable resources, don't you need larger capacity ones to handle the profiles for each user? We never used that because our iPads are all 32GB and we decided they wouldn't be large enough.

Yeah would be best to have larger capacity devices but 32GB ones do support it. To try and stop students fiddling with accessibility settings and what not I usually deploy a home screen layout from my MDM with the settings app hidden on a page on its own. Might be worth giving that a try? Usually fools them for at least 5 minutes.

If you have students whose sole purpose is to distrupt the lesson by doing stop that class from using the iPads, a bit of peer pressure will soon put a stop to it happening..
