Guest Guest Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 We've recently rebuilt all our servers due to hardware failure. Since this were having issues with double sided printing being set as default, within the printer settings on the server single sided is selected, we have papercut but nothing on there is enforcing it. When checking the properties when a user is logged on double sided is selected despite the server having it set to single Has anyone else had this? Any help is greatly appreciated
Protec Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 Maybe try reinstalling printer drivers? Is there anything on the printers web interface about default printer settings.
snagrat Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 Just checking that on the server you are setting it twice. Once in preferences and then also on the Advance tab?
Guest Guest Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 I'm pretty sure there both set to single sided, but the same setting on the client side is set to double. Will check the web interface nothings being changed on there though. I don't really want to mess with the drivers if I can help it, getting follow me working was a nightmare
jasonatpapercut Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Heyo. Changing driver settings and maintaining compatibility across a range of devices can take a bit. Maybe create a new queue and test the settings there? I'm pretty sure snagrat is talking about the General -> Preferences and Advanced -> Printing Defaults settings.
Guest Guest Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I finally sorted it, I removed all printers, updated the drivers resetup follow me and now it works fine
jasonatpapercut Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Great to hear. I'm not supposed to be negative in my posts, but honestly, taking off and nuking it from orbit sometimes really is the only answer :-)
