kidpressingbuttons Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Anyone else still using Lucid? Getting the following error when installed on certain machines 'data source name not found and no default driver specified'
Boredguy Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Did you install the sql run time files? (sqlncli.msi) 1
kidpressingbuttons Posted October 15, 2019 Author Posted October 15, 2019 Yep- rebuilt the entire machine and installed fresh as well...
BOOT Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Both 32 AND 64 bit versions of the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Native Client installed? 1
kidpressingbuttons Posted October 15, 2019 Author Posted October 15, 2019 Ok got a bit further- now being told "ActiveX Component Cant Create Object"
Boredguy Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Strange, all I had to do was install the SQL runtime library, and then the client ran happily from the remote share
BOOT Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 If you're running the network version, have you also installed: \Workstation Setup\LucidUniversalThinClient.msi (Probably in the Lucid Exact share)? 1
