loucoll-Dave Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Basically we used to net boot mac's but we updated the mac server application now its not support netboot Our mac server is running Mojave. Could anyone recommend a way to get this working or another way to net boot mac's we do have sccm for pc's not know if you can integrate them into sccm or not. Regards Dave
TomPearceGeek Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Hi Dave, You might be able to find Netinstall under 'View' in the top bar when you are in the server application. Other than that, Netboot is dead. Modern practices rely on things like the Device Enrollment Program (DEP) and an MDM. The easiest way to 'flatten' a mac is to use Internet Recovery (CMD+ SHIFT + R at boot) and then installing software / profiles with either an MDM or something like Munki Tom
Brimstone Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Will just put this here to reiterate... https://isimagingdead.com 1
Cw2k Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Mac Deploy Stick can be used with or without mdm/dep. Similar work flow capability to DeployStudio. Uses the native installer to install Mac OS then stages the packages, scripts and profiles to run once the install finishes.
