Hi Guys,

I tried to search here for an answer but couldn't find one :(

I need to generate a report that shows how many school meals each student in years 3,4,5 and 6 has had in the month of September. Can SIMS do this?

Many thanks in advance :) THD

I don't believe SIMS records school meal transactions. Your finance department will have to run a report from your cashless catering system.

I've always wondered about this for census data. When I was a Data Manager, fortunately I worked at a school where school meals were compulsory so attendance data was sufficient for me to plug the value in manually. There were no monetary transactions whatsoever. I've always wondered if others schools have a dinner registration (at least on census day as that's the value DfE are after).

If you have the dinner money module it does. In our infant school it was the only record of who needed/was provided a school meal (since all pupils were entitled to a free meal). The class teacher recorded the requirement as part of registration in the morning. Absences auto populate through from attendance and there are reports for the kitchen, class lists for the midday supervisors including all allergies/religious requirements etc.

If you've got the module, you can definitely get the reports of who had a meal (but probably not what they ate).
