BBC Micro Bits and Lenovo 300e's

Good morning all. We've got a strange one where BBC Micro Bits are refusing to work properly with Lenovo 300e's. They show up in File Explorer, however Windows thinks the device needs to be formatted to work properly (and still don't work when formatted). The devices work fine on EVERY device in our school, just not Lenovo 300e's for some reason... Does anyone have any ideas? The Micro Bits have had their firmware updated. We're going to submit a support ticket with Micro Bit today, however I'm not sure what they'll come back with as I'll admit it's a very strange request.

you don't have any form of USB storage security set on the lenovo BIOS do you? what do other USB sticks come up as?
