Windows 7 Bitlocker Restoration issue

Hi All,

 

We have a few models of laptop that are encrypted using usb sticks as the key.

 

This works fine but on a couple of laptop models from HP and Toshiba if the laptop turns off because the battery has been drained then when you turn it on again it asks for the 'Restoration data' to be deleted.

 

The only way to delete it is to take the HDD out and put in a caddy to delete the data.

 

The laptops are all windows 7, 4gb or 8gb Ram with HDDs or SSDs.

 

Any ideas?
