ajg Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Hi, we have started moving to Office 2019 when we re-build PC's but Outlook is doing something unexpected. Windows and Office are all activated fine but when a user runs Outlook 2019 for the first time (Word etc are fine) on a re-built PC it is asking to register the device. The user is prompted to enter their password, agree to 'Allow my organisation to manage my device' (see attached) and then Outlook performs as normal going forwards. It didn't used to do this with Office 2016 so does anyone know if this a new feature of Outlook 2019 or is it a setting I've missed somewhere? Thanks.
thegavna Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Hi ajg, Did you find a solution for this in the end? I'm noticing it after I remove profiles using delprof I get the same behaviour. If I close down the prompt and reopen outlook 2019 it opens and sets up correctly using the standard first run sequence. Modern Authentication is confirmed as working and I've removed the prompts above using some registry keys but it still wants an initial sign in or restart of outlook to complete. Cheers
