SIMS - Is there a way to promote a SET from Year to Year?

For example, the students that were in Set 1 for Year 7 maths, can I promote the whole group to Set 1 Year 8 maths? Or do I have to go to the tick grid and do each name manually?

Yes - you would set that up from Routines -> School -> Academic Promotion Rules. Within that, ensure your bands are linked first before moving onto the blocks. The Academic Management manual covers this in Chapter 8.
