richbrowncardiff Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Hi Everyone, Please can anyone who is using 3cx and gamma sip trunks give me some pointers ? Gamma support have been appalling all i want is a few steps to getting their "Supported" sip trunks working with 3cx. I have been told after 3 hours of back and forth they can see a private ip. Can anyone let me know how I should set their trunks up in 3cx it should be simple (sipgate was) but gamma seem to not care about getting it working. Many thanks in advance
markwilfan Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Just heading down the same route rich but haven't got access to the server yet as our lead school is hosting it. We have an fttc for each site from gamma but the sip setup should be the same. If you haven't solved by the time I get access I will repost 1
psumner1992 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 We have Gamma working with 3CX. I’m on annual leave at the moment but from what I can remember, we put the public IP into the options tab of the sip trunk and ticked Put Public IP in SIP VIA Header box to make sure it authenticated correctly. There was some back and fourth action with our ISP for firewall rules but eventually got it sorted, needed to make sure the traffic leaving our 3CX was using the public IP provided to gamma rather than shared IP from ISP otherwise it just wouldn’t register. 1
richbrowncardiff Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 Thanks for the info I have done this and its still not working. Can you tell me if you had to alter any of the strings on the "Outbound pentameters" Page?
psumner1992 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Thanks for the info I have done this and its still not working. Can you tell me if you had to alter any of the strings on the "Outbound pentameters" Page? Our settings are: Registrar - Gamma IP Authentication - Do not require IP based Auth ID - main trunk number Options: Allow inbound calls - on Allow outbound calls - on Disallow video calls - on PBX delivers Audio - on Put public IP in SIP Via header - public IP Outbound Parameters: User part - CalledNum Host Part - GWHostPort Contact: User Part - AuthID Contact: Host Part - ContactURi Display Name - CalledName User Part - CalledNum Host Part - GWHostPort From: Display Name - OutboundLineID From: User Part - OutboundCallerID From: Host Part - GWHostPort User Agent - leave default Called Party Display Name - Default Called Party User Part - CallerNum Called Party Host Part - leave default Calling Party Display Name - OutboundCallerID Calling Party User Part - leave default Calling Party Host Part - GWHostPort PID Display - AuthID PID User Part - AuthID PID Host Part - ContactURi All other boxes set to leave default value. Hope this helps. 2

psumner1992 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Thank you so much this is just what i needed ! all working as it should why Gamma cant give this information out is beyond me!!! Great, glad it worked. I remember I had to try a few different options before I got ours working but has been brilliant since setting up, best thing we ever did.
mavhc Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 At one point Gamma started getting an internal IP from me, turns out the Fortigate firewall had decided to "help" and rewrite the packets.
richbrowncardiff Posted July 27, 2019 Author Posted July 27, 2019 Thanks Very much for all the help much appreciated. I'm just shocked that this information isn't provided as 3Cx have template'd Gamma and visa versa. In essence i expected to set the trunk up in 2 minutes just as I did with Sipgate. Oh well all good now thanks again!
