Modules and Plugins not installed

I have just downloaded and installed the new 1.5 version using the simple 1.5 i cant get any of the nice features like in the demo site. please help im gona have a bigger play later on.

you need to publish the modules to the right module positions and apply the correct module styles

 

ie the jsn slideshow needs to be published to "user 4" module position to get the module positions go to the extensions menu>>>>template manager>>>>>click the simple template and preview that template

 

I also like the eg_simple template:) gonna run it past SMT to get feedback etc made a few changes so far here

a long way to go.

Worth noting that Joomla needs a bit of reading to get to grips with it...

 

I grabbed a book on it from Amazon

"Joomla! A User's Guide: Building a Successful Joomla! Powered Website"

 

... which turned out to be invaluable at just getting some of the basics down.

 

I'd recommend it to anyone who is struggling to find a definitive guide that doesn't descend into some obscure tech randomness. Programmers do not the best document writers make.

sorry the problem is you need to set it up to your needs as there is diffrences between the modules.

thanks rush tech. was after the template layout before. got it just perfect now. bit of a change in the admin layout in 1.5 but its all looking good now..
