G Suite - Data Export - Does it work for you?

I thought I would try doing a G Suite data export (right side of G Suite admin page). When the data export page opens there is nothing to click to run the export, I just get a couple of boxes with the following

 

Use Data Export to retrieve your data. You can use this tool once every 30 days.Data Export currently has limitations. Certain services are not fully supported by this tool and alternative export mechanisms should be used. Takeaway is currently only supported for users in the active state. Learn more

In order to initiate a data export, your account must have been created more than 30 days ago, and you must have 2-step verification enabled and enforced for your account. Learn more

 

Can someone just check and see if they get an option to actually run the export

Just checked and I do not get that message.

The 'Learn more' link in my post takes you to the help page for this tool. We have over 1000 users, so we'd have to request for the tool to be enabled.

I get the same result at each of the primary schools. We tick all the export requirements.

I would contact Google Admin and see what they say.

Just had a message back from Google. The account not only needs to be 2FA but you also need to have 2FA forced in the security settings. Not got time to test yet but though I would pass on.
