samlcfc16 Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Hi All, I'm currently making a new image for our IT Suites ready for our summer roll our of windows 10 N LTSC across our domain. I have installed the latest version of scratch offline editor along with the latest version of Adobe air. Upon running scratch on a student log in we get an Adobe Air error window pop up saying "adobe air initial content could not be loaded for this application...." This all loads fine as domain admin though. We have checked web filtering in case it was that but that's all good. Could it be C:\\ Drive access preventing students using Scratch as currently this is a hidden drive for them? Any ideas? Cheers, Sam
william_tropico Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Do you have mandatory profiles for students?
samlcfc16 Posted June 28, 2019 Author Posted June 28, 2019 Hi William, Roaming profiles for both students and staff members. Sam
MrLudwig Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Might be worth checking where it actually installed. I seem to remember Scratch v3 installed into the user profile for us, rather than somewhere that actually made sense like program files. Having said that, I think you can just move the folder onto a network share and run it directly from their.
free780 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 It's probably not been tested with LTSC and/or roaming profiles. Try a local profile and see if it works. I'd also not logon to a PC as domain admin. Use a local admin account instead.
Arthur Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 I have installed the latest version of scratch offline editor along with the latest version of Adobe Air. You might be better off installing the latest version of Scratch Desktop since it doesn't use Adobe Air like the Scratch Offline Editor.
