Divaldo Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I have inherited a network with Ruckus wifi. We're running Virtual SmartZone essentials. I have 4 SSIDs, all work fine. I'd like one of them to be broadcast on just one AP though, at the moment they're all available from all APs. I've spent hours reading manuals and trying to click through all the options but I can't see a way of selecting which APs broadcast which networks. Is there something obvious I'm missing? Thanks.
FN-GM Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I have done this before using the AP Groups. You can specify what SSIDs are broadcasted from the APs in that group. Although I am not sure if that is a feature of the essentials.
timbo343 Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Would this help? http://docs.ruckuswireless.com/smartzone/3.6.1/sz100-vsze-administrator-guide/GUID-62E348F3-9DBA-4716-AE05-E63B1AD4E15C.html We have specific APs offering different WLANs but we use the 1200 controller. I'm sure it's possible to do on vSZ-E. I think its the Cloud version that is very very basic.
ass17 Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 WLAN groups is the way to go, we do it on the older zonedirector 9.8 firmware.
