Jawloms Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Got me a Moto 360 gen 2 watch running OSWear 2. When I get an email notification, underneath it are buttons which say "Yes", "No", and "OK". What do they do? Stuart
Joanne Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Will it send a reply with those words? Test it on yourself!
bald_pig Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 What @Joanne said, should be responses, and they should change depending on the context of the email I believe.
Jawloms Posted June 5, 2019 Author Posted June 5, 2019 Dunno. I didn't want to find they change a setting which I then need to try and change back somehow.
Jawloms Posted June 5, 2019 Author Posted June 5, 2019 Having received a few emails, it isn't contextual as the buttons are always the same. I have now pressed them all, and they all make the watch vibrate and a tick appear on the screen. That appears to be it! The notification doesn't clear, no reply sent, can't tell anything else happening.
Joanne Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 weird! I have a sony smartwatch 3 with Wear OS and it doesn't have stuff like that on emails, but then I use the outlook app on my phone for emails.
Jawloms Posted June 5, 2019 Author Posted June 5, 2019 The smartwatch 3 won't run OSWear 2 though will it? Perhaps it's a feature of v2?
foofighterjim Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 To be honest I stopped using my Moto 360 gen 2 about 6 months ago. OSWear 2 broke a lot of things about the Moto 360 but Motorola aren't investing anymore time or money into it to fix. I found that things like the heart rate monitor stopped working properly (i.e. it no longer passed this info to the Moto or Google Fit apps), it also used to display the time when docked on the charger now it just blanks the screen. I always disabled email notifications as I found that it doesn't handle HTML messages particularly well, the pedometer was nowhere near accurate and I was only using it for pausing a skipping media tracks which seemed kind of pointless. I'm now all analogue again.
