When I am notified about a reply to a thread I am subscribed to the link included in the E-Mail will often contain an invalid link to the new post:

I get this too, but not always. I haven't worked out a pattern to them yet.

The notification of your reply had the correct URL:

Checking just today's emails, 4 out of 9 showed the error. Interestingly, in all 4 cases, when clicking on the link, it works fine. If I cut and past as plain text, it errors. I wonder if it Outlook is auto-correcting? I know for sure on some occasions a direct click-thru causes a failed look up - possibly more so in the past than recently.

When I click the badly formed URL in the notifications it doesn't work for me. Viewing E-Mails in Chrome.

The URL in the notification of your reply again had the correct URL.

Interesting... Just logged in to Gmail online and like you got a 'not found' due to the bad URL. Sort of suggests Outlook (2013) is doing an auto-correction.
