fiza Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Currently have Ruckus system in main building. New block will be ready at the end of the year. Was thinking of Ubiquiti APs for the new build to save some money. Is it better to stick to one make for APs? I guess having 2 would mean 2 captive portals and 2 places to generate guest IDs. Any thoughts?
jmak Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 The next question is whether it's how much cheaper it will be to migrate the whole site to Ubiquiti than buy a few matching APs and licenses for the new block [emoji6] 2
Net-Ctrl Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Main issue will be your client re-auth and not being able to roam between sites. As a cheaper alternative to your R510s it could be worth looking at the R320 AP. Released a few months back, wave 2 11.ac 2x2:2 AP and for sub £200. We have tested it and very impressed with its performance and that would keep your single manufacturer solution.
