Wirral_Wonderer Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 We currently use Onlineschoolbookings.com but was wondering if anyone has managed to do anything with O365 for booking rooms or resources?
HTCPCP Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Not education, but we have set up all out meeting rooms and the large bookables (TV screens) on O365 with it set to automatically accept or decline. We have it set so a couple of rooms (our CEO's meeting room and our HR meeting room) can only be booked by users within that team automatically, with those not in the room being sent for manual approval by someone in that team. Been using it for a few years now, and the only issue we seem to come across are users not looking at the response from the meeting room. They work in a similar way to shared mailboxes - as in you don't need to license them, but I will recommend having a user with full admin rights for each room, so when people forget to cancel their meetings/forget to mark it private/name the meeting something stupid (such as "Name disciplinary meeting" or "appraisal for Name" you can mark it as private or change the title. To book them, you add the room/resource email address to the meeting request in your calendar.
Wirral_Wonderer Posted May 20, 2019 Author Posted May 20, 2019 Cheers for that. Do you know if you can setup lesson period times rather than using the normal appointment times?
HTCPCP Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Normally it's just appointment times, but for fixed lessons, you can do re-occuring meetings which helps that bit at least!
