Currently use adobe CS5 photoshop and Dreamweaver on Windows 10 Edu.

 

Most works fine but having some issues where dreamweaver refuses to load for some users.

 

Anyway...... talking to the head of IT and he asked about Adobe CC.

 

So I have 2 or 3 questions

1. Only really need photoshop and dreamweaver - which would be cheaper - all apps or just the 2 I need?

 

2.Adobe CC 2019 - how do I assign licenses in an IT/Art room if it uses User licensing?

 

3. Would need to install on approx 140 machines, so what are the current pricing like and who would you recommend for quotes?

Adobe do per device licensing for Education but it still involves user accounts... fooking Adobe!!

You can’t gets apps individually anymore it’s the whole cloud suite or nothing in terms of purchase. You then make packages with whatever apps you want.

 

I hate Adobe with a passion in secondary and sixth form. I don’t think it should be used due to its horrendous cost and majority of the time the teaching staff in secondary/sixth form don’t know how to fully utilise or teach it themselves.

I use G Suite federated Adobe accounts, but this still requires syncing them from AD.
